Respect

Respect
Aretha Franklin said it best Ladies and Gents... Respect.

Respect is by far #1 in my book.

Too many times do I look around, including at myself, and see people being disrespectful.

In the workplace, there really is no reason for it. Once someone has lost respect for you, it normally takes a way to long of time to gain it back.

Whether in life or at work, you do not want someone to lose respect for you.

Why?

You never know when you might need someone.
Side Note: For all You .. I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T(do you know what that means haha good song) people, please convey your independence in a respectful manner because sometimes it can be portrayed as rude or insulting when someone offers you help.. etc.
Now I'm saying you have to use everyone or ask favors of everyone, but you never know when you may cross their path and actually will need that favor that will make or break an opportunity.

Never Close a door!

Therefore: try to keep personal matters out of a lot of discussions. Still to this day I see people walk into trouble when they open the flood gates with their problems.

There are therapist that will listen, promise, small fee for not losing peoples respect or changing their views of you.

So moral of the story today:
  • Respect!!
  • Never Close a Door
And finally.... Just maintain an overall line of Respect with people because once you go over that line you grant permission for both parties and its hard to really retract those steps and damage.

P.S. I have to work on all this myself. I am no angel. lol

Signing off...
