Questions to Ask During an Interview

Interviewing is one of the most nerve wrecking events we have in our Professional Career.

Your essentially explaining why your best fit for the company and how your skills have made you best fit for this available position.

So this automatically puts us in "Sell Mode"

We are selling ourselves to the Employer so we can get hired ....and of course when they make the offer, they will offer us a pretty penny!

But before its to late, we must make sure that the Company is right for US!

So lets get into the..

Questions you should ask during an Interview:
  1. What are the day-to-day responsibilities of this job?
  2. Can you describe an ideal employee?
  3. What kind of work can I expect to be doing the first year?
  4. What are some of the skills and abilities necessary for someone to succeed in this job?
  5. What is the organization's plan for the next five years, and how does this department fit in?
  6. Could you explain your organizational structure?
  7. Could you describe your company's management style and the type of employee who fits well with it?
  8. How does upper management view the role and importance of this department and this position?
Possible Additional Questions:
  1. What are the organization's/company's strengths and weaknesses compared to its competition?
  2. What are the various ways employees communicate with one another to carry out their work?
  3. How and by whom will my performance be reviewed? Are there specific criteria upon which I would be evaluated? And how frequently is formal and informal review given to new employees?
  4. How much guidance or assistance is made available to individuals in developing career goals?
These questions help gauge if this Position and Company will be somewhere you can grow and built a career.

Why is the above this so important?

We forget to ask these questions and then we get offered the job and take it.

We are with the company less than a week and/or a month and we start noticing all kinds of warning signs that you probably should of DECLINED the Job Offer.

So before you get the Call/Email or Letter saying.....
