Daily Grind

"turning nothing into something."

One of my favorite old School songs said it best...

If you don't notice the lyrics, its the gentlemen above. Clipse

I am a firm believer in the Daily Grind.
Not everyday is a good day and that is reality. But as we all know, we gotta get through it and continue on our own Grind.
Some of us are easily unmotivated by our daily challenges, but I have learned a few easy way to overcome them.

Find something that you pride yourself in

For Instance, I pride myself in my work ethic and my attention to detail.

Therefore, When I wake up on the wrong side of the bed and don't want to get up and call out of work, I realize not only do I need the $, but I pride myself on being the one that goes into work no matter what. (This goes back to my Work Ethic)

I realize not all of us out there have the same work ethic and that goes back to our individual beliefs, but also it goes back to that we are never ending trying to find ourselves.

Many of us are still in the stages of finding ourselves. I am guilty of this myself, but this process is never ending. I know people who are 40.. 50 trying to figure out what they are ment to do with their lives. Whether your religious or not, in life things happen for a reason and let life takes it course and things will eventually shine light on what you enjoy and what you love to do.

Remember where you came from and where you want to go

Many of us our trapped in the "Right Now" Mindset. We simply only see the reward/return that will come from if we sleep for another hour, if we skip class only "once" or we if we call into work.

We never take a second thought and think, "Damn, what is the long term effect of me taking this action." We all love the immediate gratification or reward, but many times there are long term consequences that we overlook.

Just remember that most of us came from nothing and we have to work extra hard to make it to the top. Part of making it to the top is Staying on the Daily Grind.

So as you start your day, turn that nothing into something. : )

Signing off,

Anthony F.
