Working Hard vs Working Smart


There is no substitute for working.

In America, you must get up and get after it if you want it.

This begs the "age old question"

 Is Working Hard enough to become successful?


About 10-20 years ago, I would say most definitely.

The average company would say...

" He is a hard worker, he deserves a promotion."

Now a days, If a company has a Hard Worker they have the notion...

"Well he is hard worker, but I pay him to work hard"

Both notions are right, they pay them to Work Hard, but Hard Work should not go unrecognized

As a Sales Person myself, I have learned that to put my best foot forward, I must ...

"Work Smart"

What does working smart mean any way?

Chances are you will not find a definition, but the basic premise is you must maximize your day by taking advantage of every minute that you have to work with.

For Instance, The average "Sales Guy" makes 150 calls and fails to qualify about 90% of them.

Since I work with hundreds of clients and have thousands of outstanding quotes, I must begin to qualify the folks that are interested.

Most of this can be found in the QuoteValet Dashboard by seeing who "HASN'T" viewed the quote.

This is part where I sent them a message saying "Thank you for being a valued customer ... " 

This sends them a link to the quote and essentially reminds them that they haven't looked it and they need to. 

I know most CEO's, Presidents, etc .. have a stack of work and distractions. Therefore, I keep in mind
